1.
It’s raining again. Halos shade the sun.                I sleep in seclusion. It’s where the words are found.                The archers can’t fly, because their wings are sprung. And they can’t hear my heart because my back is turned.                So take this shell, and bury it as well. Take this phrase, and set it ablaze.
2.
I’m not falling down, I’m rising from the ground. I’m not going blind, I can see you all from here.                       I’m not the one who made the masterplan. I move the sun with my face behind my hands.                       ‘Cause I’m just a man chewing on a wire.                       This Static Chair.                       I’m not turning 'round, but I’ll make it home somehow. On this static chair, in your empty air.                       I’m just a man. . .
3.
I drank a glass of indecision, As the sun soaked up my day. Too much talk, two boats are sinking. They didn't know that the rules had changed.                       I’ll survive this lonely session, And figure out how the stars still fly. The meaning of the oldest story. . . The answers, the question why.                       Didn’t know it would break my heart. No one said I should take it slow. Didn’t even know your name. I saw you at The Picture Show.                       In my car, the words are useless. . .                       I saw you at The Picture Show.
4.
I heard your key unlock the door, Just like a hundred times before. If it’s a drug, I'll understand. . . But please don't tell me it’s a man,                       (Dressed in black).                       I could smell him on your skin, From the moment you walked in.                       But you lie and say there's no one, And your lie is a smoking gun.                       I didn't know what I should do. Gave my every breath for you. I know you're sorry for what you've done, 'Cause in my hands is a smoking gun.
